Precision Measurement Specialist

Job Role Overview

The Voith Group is a global technology company, employing around 22,000 staff members worldwide. As a Site Supervisor with our organisation, you will be responsible for performing high-precision measurements on turbine-generator components and related equipment.

This role involves actively participating in the look ahead planning process to address potential risks on schedule and detailed technical installation sequence. You will also be required to prepare measurement and inspection reports, coordinate inspections with the site management team, and program laser tracker equipment to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.

Key tasks include conducting measurements according to the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), collecting and analysing data obtained during measurements, identifying deviations and providing recommendations for corrective actions, and supporting the team in overseeing the installation of hydro-turbines and related equipment at site.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in project planning and risk assessment.
• Prepare and submit measurement and inspection reports.
• Coordinate site inspections with the site management team.
• Program and operate laser tracker equipment for precise measurements.
• Conduct measurements as per ITPs and collect relevant data.
• Analyse measurement data and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
• Collaborate with the installation team to oversee the setup of hydro-turbines and associated equipment.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous experience operating laser tracker equipment in construction or similar industries.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate measurements.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and adaptability in challenging environments.
• Proficiency in measurement software and associated data analysis tools.
• Strong computer literacy and proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication in an international setting.

Working Conditions:

• A typical roster of 14 days in, 7 days out.
