About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Drama Facilitator to lead our "Altogether Drama" and "Mischief Makers" programs in Wollongong. These programs aim to teach participants various acting techniques, promoting confidence and skill development on stage.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for participants. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives while showcasing your skills and experience as a drama facilitator.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality drama programs, focusing on building participants' confidence and skills.
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons and activities, considering the needs and abilities of participants.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to our organisation's values and standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of programs and services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A genuine passion for working with people with disabilities and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Experience in teaching drama or theatre, preferably in an inclusive setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants and colleagues.
- Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated awareness of disability issues and experience working with individuals with diverse needs (an advantage).
