Theatre Arts Instructor for People with Disabilities

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Theatre Arts Instructor to join our team at The Disability Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities, while utilising your skills and experience to deliver high-quality theatre arts programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver weekly theatre arts lessons and activities to participants with varying abilities and needs.
- Plan and prepare engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless program delivery and participant support.
- Provide individualised support and feedback to participants to help them achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress and outcomes.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in theatre arts or a related field (e.g. drama, performance, etc.).
- Experience working with people with disabilities, particularly those with physical or intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and adaptability skills.
- Valid Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to commencement.
