Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the equine, pet & rural industry and have experience leading dynamic sales teams.

  • Build capabilities of the branch network in terms of sales and operations
  • Manage sales and inventory performance including aged inventory, stock turns and debtor arrangements
  • Assist with development and implementation of retail strategy; including implementing and driving key sales campaigns and activities
  • Identify new growth opportunities and build strong relationships with customers and industry partners
  • Manage branch staffing requirements including recruitment, rostering, training, performance management
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key clients to understand their needs and support sales staff as needed
  • Planning and driving marketing of branch services and products and play an active role in campaigns, field days, client nights and community events
About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in leadership positions within the equine, pet & rural industry
  • Strong business acumen with ability to interpret and prepare profit and loss reports
  • Passion for building strong relationships and creating a positive team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
  • Demonstrated experience as a people leader with ability to upskill and coach
