Nutritionist/Dietician for Public Health Services
Job Summary:This role focuses on delivering primary health care services in regional areas, specifically in the Barkly region. The successful candidate will work within a framework of cultural responsiveness and community capacity building.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver nutrition education sessions and cooking demonstrations to promote healthy food choices among local communities.
- Participate in health promotion activities and contribute to public health discussions at a regional level.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain accurate patient records and support professional development of nutrition/dietetics staff.
- A tertiary qualification from a recognized Australian university and eligibility for registration in Australia are mandatory.
- Experience working with Aboriginal organizations or communities is highly regarded.
- Understanding of Aboriginal primary health care issues and social determinants of health is essential for success in this role.
