Job Title: Coordinator - Safe at Home

This position is responsible for creating and implementing a new initiative to provide support services to women and children in the Pilbara region.

The Coordinator will work collaboratively with stakeholders, including the Hedland Aboriginal Strong Leaders Collective and Julyardi Aboriginal Corporation, to develop and implement the Kanyjaru Ngarnarna Wapa initiative.

The role requires strong knowledge and understanding of family and domestic violence frameworks and practice, as well as extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families.

Key responsibilities include developing collaborative working relationships, creating and implementing programs, and providing support services to women and children.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in human services, social work or equivalent experience, and demonstrate a commitment to improving employment opportunities and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Job Requirements:
  • A qualification in human services, social work or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of family and domestic violence frameworks and practice
  • Extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop collaborative working relationships with stakeholders

Benefits include a $5,000 remote allowance for all Pilbara employees, hourly rate of $60.27 to $62.79 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 7, dependent on qualification and experience, and salary packaging options.
