Gender Equality Specialist

The ideal candidate will develop and implement strategies to promote economic empowerment and gender equality in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a thorough understanding of philanthropic and impact investment approaches supporting women's economic empowerment.
- Lead the execution of partnerships and impact investment approaches increasing capital and resources for women entrepreneurs.
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including civil society organisations, social enterprises, and impact investors.
- Foster connections with influential businesses to promote financial inclusion and equality.
- Collaborate with the Advocacy and Engagement function to advocate for law and policy reform.
- Work with the Impact Investing team to support opportunities for impact investing.
- Ten years of professional experience developing, delivering, or managing strategies promoting gender equality and/or economic empowerment.
- A relevant tertiary degree with a strong understanding of commercial and financial models.
- An established network across impact investing, philanthropy, government, and business.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant issues, complexity, and challenges associated with financial inclusion and empowerment for vulnerable women.
- Strategic leadership expertise with a big-picture approach and tactical execution skills.
