Education Leader for Pedagogy and Learning

The Townsville Catholic Education is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Education Leader for Pedagogy and Learning to join our vibrant school community. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a professional with a passion for education and leadership to drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and student learning and growth across the school.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assume a senior leadership role, working with staff to drive the development, implementation, and evaluation of teaching and student learning and growth across the school. This will include:
- Collaborating with staff to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and strategies to enhance student learning and growth
- Developing and maintaining high expectations of students and staff to drive a high-performance culture in the school
- Leading the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to improve student outcomes and achievement
- Providing coaching and mentoring to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
- Postgraduate qualification for a position of senior leadership in Catholic schools, which includes attainment of/commitment to the completion of a minimum of 8 semester units of postgraduate study in Religious Education, Scripture, Theology, Catholic Ethos from an Australian Catholic university or institution
- Full accreditation to teach in a Catholic School and accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school
- The capacity to enact leadership focused on living and sharing the Catholic faith, the Mission of the Church and the Catholic school ethos, with the intention of influencing and enriching the lives of students, staff, and other members of the school community
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
- Current Driver's Licence
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
