Middle Leader Health and Physical Education Position

We are seeking a dedicated Middle Leader to join our team at Good Shepherd Catholic College, Mount Isa. This is a permanent teaching role with a 3-year fixed term appointment to the Middle Leader position. The successful applicant will be required to teach Health and Physical Education and Junior Science.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the learning and teaching program in Health and Physical Education and Junior Science
- Develop and implement appropriate pedagogies at all levels
- Ensure quality of student learning and effectiveness of teacher practice through supervision
- Utilize thorough analysis of current data to inform decisions and develop partnerships within and outside the college
- Prudently administer available resources
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school
- Ability to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers
- Understanding of contemporary pedagogy and ability to differentiate and provide for diverse range of abilities
- Ability to collaborate and work positively as a part of a professional learning community
- Willingness to change and develop instructional strategies to increase student growth and achievement
