Job Description:

The Patient Care Support Professional plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors within the healthcare facility.

This position works collaboratively with clinical teams to support patient care and security-related duties.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist nursing teams in Emergency Departments in delivering patient care under the guidance of nursing staff
  • Provide general assistance in ward environments, including cleaning and portering for patient transfers
  • Undertake security-related duties as required by the nursing In-Charge and Security Manager
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current Class 1A Security License with NSW Security Industry 1997
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)
  • Participation in a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Understanding and willingness to work in a morgue environment
  • Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to operate electronic security systems
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to comply with work health and safety principles
