Job Title: Nursing Assistant

About the Role:

The South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic nursing assistant to join their team at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our multidisciplinary staff in delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care, including assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and performing clinical procedures under the guidance of registered nurses;
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes, ensuring cultural sensitivity and awareness;
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery;
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills in nursing practice.

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in and successful completion of at least 2 semesters of a Bachelor of Nursing program with a satisfactory academic record;
  • Completion of at least 2 undergraduate clinical placements;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills;
