About the Role

Rosebank College Five Dock is seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to fill the position of Assistant Dean of Learning. This is a permanent full-time role that will play a critical part in shaping the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of curriculum initiatives and programs from Year 10 to Year 12.
  • Oversee the work of Studies Coordinators across all Key Learning Areas (KLAs).
  • Contribute to the overall work performed by the Learning Deanery.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to build and improve teacher and middle leader capacity.
  • Lead and share innovative professional learning and teaching practice.
  • Develop and implement quality differentiated pedagogy and authentic learning and assessment.
  • Collaborate with staff to analyse College data to inform practice and improve student outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's in education or educational leadership.
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience as a middle leader with a minimum of 4-5 years.
  • Proven experience in leading a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, plan, and provide effective leadership of school-wide learning initiatives.
  • Experience in leading the development and implementation of quality differentiated pedagogy and authentic learning and assessment.
  • Experience in collaborating with teachers and staff to build and improve teacher and middle leader capacity.
  • Capacity to effectively collaborate with staff to analyse College data to inform practice and improve student outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and sharing innovative professional learning and teaching practice.
  • An understanding and commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching.
  • Possess proven ability to incorporate modern technologies into their teaching practice and convey passion for classroom innovation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to the child safeguarding principles.
