About the Role

Rosebank College Five Dock is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Dean of Ministry. As a key member of the College Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the College's Mission within the Catholic Church and context, ensuring that the Benedictine charism and the Good Samaritan philosophy are evident in the formal and informal aspects of the College-wide community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the College's Mission and ensure alignment with the Catholic Church and context
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to promote the College's Catholic identity and spiritual life
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff and students on matters related to faith formation and evangelisation
  • Collaborate with the College Religious Education Coordinator and other members of the pastoral team to coordinate the education in the faith of the College community
  • Represent the Principal and the College to internal and external stakeholders, promoting the College's values and mission
Requirements
  • Master's in theology or a related discipline (completed or ongoing)
  • Proven experience as a middle leader with a minimum of 5 years
  • Demonstrated experience working in a senior role in Catholic faith formation and/or mission and/or evangelisation
  • Proven experience as an executive leader (highly desirable)
  • Experience communicating faith and leading staff and student faith formation within a contemporary context
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills and a strong ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commitment to the transformative nature of Catholic Education and a clear vision for faith identity within our contemporary society
  • High-level capacity to translate a broad and contemporary knowledge of Religious Education and Faith Development into effective programs
  • Demonstrating a depth of personal Catholic faith by actively participating in a Catholic parish community and modelling the teachings and values of the Catholic Church
  • A passionate and enthused ability to promote mission and evangelisation
  • Demonstrated familiarity with the Professional Standards of the Catholic Church, including Integrity in the Service of the Church
  • A thorough understanding of the College's role, ministry, and responsibility in the life of the Catholic Church
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changed timelines, deadlines, and significant events
  • Possess a valid Working with Children Check
  • A commitment to the child safeguarding principles
  • Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College
  • Current NESA Accreditation and approval to teach in NSW
