Operations Manager

About the Role
The Melbourne Gateway Facility Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in leading a diverse operations team, including Domestic and International Operations. This key position works closely with the Facility Operations Manager to steer processing and delivery operations within the processing site, which operates on a 24-hour schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Operations Manager in maintaining compliance standards and ensuring adherence to benchmarks during the 24-hour operation
- Drive cost efficiency, safety standards, and key results during the PM shift and throughout the day
- Support and drive changes aimed at managing costs and nurturing network and operational innovation using LEAN methodology and a Continuous Improvement lens
- Optimise the utilisation of automation assets and streamline parcel processing operations
About You
You are a Safety-focused Logistics expert with a strong focus on continuous improvement. You have sound verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to lead by example and empower your team. Supply chain/Logistics experience is highly preferred but not essential.
