About the Role
The Melbourne Gateway Facility Operations Lead will play a pivotal role in leading a diverse operations team, including Domestic and International Operations. This role will work closely with the Facility Operations Manager to steer the processing and delivery operations within the processing site, which operates on a 24-hour schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the Operations Manager in maintaining compliance standards and ensuring adherence to benchmarks during the 24-hour operation.
- Support and drive changes aimed at managing costs and nurturing network and operational innovation using LEAN methodology and a Continuous Improvement lens.
- Optimise the utilisation of automation assets and streamline parcel processing operations to ensure efficient functioning of Express Post and International services.
- Manage and lead change within a consultative framework, engaging and influencing key stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
- Lead a culture that fosters the One Australia Post approach, focuses on safety and wellbeing, and puts the customer at the forefront of all activities and decisions.
About You
You will be a Safety-focused Logistics guru with a strong focus on continuous improvement, able to implement initiatives across efficiencies within a processing operation site. You will have sound verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to lead by example and empower your team.
