Job Title: Newsreader

No need to be a news junkie, but it helps

We're looking for an Afternoon and Evening Newsreader to join our FIVEAA Newsroom in Adelaide.

As a Newsreader, you'll work independently during shifts, liaising closely with the FIVEAA News Chief of Staff, Station Manager, Content Producers, and Presenters to ensure on-air news content is current, accurate, and consistent.

You'll have a strong interest in news and current affairs, and your news reading style will suit the brand.

This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, writing and presenting live local news, sport, and weather twice an hour.

  1. Key responsibilities:
  2. Researching and gathering news stories
  3. Writing engaging news copy
  4. Presenting news stories on air

Required skills:

To succeed as a Newsreader, you'll need to possess excellent communication and presentation skills. You should have a strong interest in news and current affairs, and be able to present information clearly and concisely.
