Customer Service Assistant Job Description

At Ten Tops, we're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a Customer Service Assistant, you'll play a vital role in driving sales results while providing top-notch service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service through personal contact and effective communication
  • Assist with merchandising procedures, including stocking shelves and displays
  • Responsible for cash handling procedures and maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and managing invoicing/paperwork
  • Perform store maintenance, including cleaning and maintaining the stock room
  • Ensure a strong culture of safety at all times, including the correct use of equipment
Essential Job Functions:
  • Stand for entire shift
  • Frequently operate cash register and handle cash transactions
  • Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 10kg and up to a height of 1.5-3m
  • Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
  • Frequent use of stock trolleys and pallet jacks for moving stock
  • Frequently position self to kneel, bend, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
Qualifications and Work Skills:
  • Recent relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated understanding and willingness to provide excellence in customer service
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Cash handling experience, including balancing of cash register
  • Solid numeracy skills and attention to detail
