About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Translator & Company Support Officer to join our Karara Executive Support team on a 12-month maximum term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and confidential interpreting/translation services and administrative support to the CEO, Senior Leadership team and other leaders and staff.
  • Support Perth Office general administrative duties when required and directed.
  • Provide effective and efficient interpreting and translation services & administrative support services.
  • Provide interpreting service for business meetings.
  • Provide translation for written documents including but not limited to monthly reports, presentations, business reports, emails, memos, contracts, policies and procedures.
  • Draft documents including letters, reports, memos, emails, presentations and other business documents.
  • Arrange international, domestic and site travel bookings.
  • Provide coverage for Perth Office reception when required.
  • Accounting system data entry, monthly corporate credit cards reconciliation, monthly cost accruals when required.
  • Facilitate Karara Mine Site and Port employee visits to Perth Office, including assignment of a hot desk.
About Karara Mining

Karara Mining Limited (KML) is an Ansteel Group company formed as a joint venture with Gindalbie Metals Limited. Ansteel is one of the largest iron ore producers and steel makers in China. Located 200km south-east of Geraldton, Western Australia, Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Translation and Interpreting or other relevant discipline.
  • Professional NAATI accreditation (English-Chinese/Mandarin).
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and Excel.
  • Extensive experience in translation and interpreting.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the mining or other heavy industry would be advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Current WA Driver's License would be advantageous.
