Mining Operations Manager

We are seeking a professional to oversee and direct the operation of an open-pit mining site.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and driving efficiency in production.
The role involves supervising the safe operation of equipment, enforcing compliance with regulations, and conducting audits to drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and mitigating principal mining hazards
- Ensuring the safe use of equipment and plant
- Leading staff inductions and training programs
- Conducting regular audits to identify areas for improvement
- Supervising contractors and staff, ensuring they adhere to safety procedures
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning mine development, contributing to capital projects, and maintaining positive employee relations.
This is a challenging role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a minimum of five years' experience in mining or a related industry.
