We are seeking an Events Coordinator to join our hospitality team.

This is a full-time position based in Mascot, NSW.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Understand the hotel's business strategy and brand positioning, and effectively communicate this to clients.
  • Keep up-to-date with the hotel's services and new developments, and monitor industry trends and market intelligence.
  • Participate in client familiarisation trips, site inspections, sales trips, and roadshows.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Maintain accurate records of client databases.
  • Prepare proposals for conferences, catering, corporate events, social events, and residential conferences.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all enquiries.
  • Track activity reports and evaluate demand by recording enquiries and lost/declined business.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in event management, preferably in a reputable hospitality industry.
  • Ability to adapt to growth and change within the business.
  • Quick thinking and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Drive to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and business retention skills.
  • Attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • Professional presentation and proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Availability to work on weekends as needed.
  • Full work rights in Australia.
