- Job Summary
As a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at our hospital, you will be responsible for delivering expert clinical care in antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and neonatal settings. You will also perform and assist in major and minor gynaecological procedures, ensuring safe, high-quality surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert clinical care to patients with complex obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
- Perform and assist in major and minor gynaecological procedures, including laparoscopic surgery.
- Provide leadership in quality assurance and clinical governance within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service.
- Supervise, mentor and teach junior doctors, GP registrars, and medical students, fostering a strong learning culture.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support seamless, patient-centred care across the pregnancy continuum.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), or an equivalent recognised qualification.
