We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Tailored Lending. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering and overseeing an end-to-end service for consumers, from the assessment of the original application to the fulfilment stage.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and oversee an end-to-end service for consumers, from the assessment of the original application to the fulfilment stage.
- Communicate with customers and brokers to workshop applications where required and provide application decision outcomes.
- Assess self-employed applications and applications to non-individual entities.
- Manage a pipeline of applications, taking the customer and broker on a seamless journey, working hand in hand with our Customer Services team, from Application through to Unconditional Approval.
- Ensure all risk and compliance standards are maintained.
- Support your colleagues and contribute to the performance of your Team.
- Act as a leader in the company, bringing positivity, energy, and flexibility to help create a great start-up culture.
- Liaise with clients and brokers in a professional manner and provide regular updates on the progress of their application from submission.
- Be able to work autonomously and demonstrate attention to detail, including having strong data entry skills with a high accuracy rate.
- Have the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment while also adding to the company culture – a fun, energized, dynamic start-up environment.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of residential credit assessment experience in assessing self-employed applications and leading individuals undertaking assessments.
- Experience assessing complex loans, e.g., commercial, trust, and company loans, reading and understanding company and trust financials.
- Current Delegated Lending Authority.
- Confidence in communicating with customers and brokers to deliver decision outcomes.
- Experience working with several broker networks.
- Ability to work within policy and make recommendations for improvement.
- Experience managing a pipeline of assessment applications.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Driven and self-motivated to exceed targets and strive for excellence.
