Electrification Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Electrification Engineer to design and deliver cutting-edge medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) power systems.

The Role:
  • Design and engineer MV and LV switchgear systems to meet customer requirements and comply with IEC/AS standards.
  • Analyze and clarify customer specifications, adapting Siemens switchgear designs where necessary.
  • Verify primary MV switchgear components to ensure suitability for application.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain detailed design documentation and system realization plans.
  • Cordinate secondary designs and ensure all systems meet design inputs.
  • Collaborate across business units, project managers, customers, and factories to achieve project milestones.
  • Manage quality assurance, testing, and inspection processes to guarantee reliable system delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8-10+ years' experience (MIE Aust/NER or CPEng highly desirable).
  • Proven expertise in MV GIS and AIS switchgear design (primary and secondary).
  • Strong knowledge of LV switchgear design and transformer construction/testing standards.
  • Proficiency in AS3000 standards and understanding divergences from IEC standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Full working rights in Australia.
