Project Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to take on the design, development, and implementation of automation and protection systems for electric power substations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed physical and electrical designs, bill of materials, and job estimates from technical specifications
  • Provide training and assistance to customers on the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of automation and/or protection systems
  • Complete assigned work within agreed-upon scope, schedule, and quality standards
  • Maintain detailed design documents, reports, checklists, test reports, and deliverables

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with electric power systems, industry practices, and focus area practices and philosophies
  • Good knowledge of electric power system protection and control, integration and/or automation and communications applications
  • Working knowledge of electric power system design, studies, information and communication technology, and protective relay applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineer in Training certificate
  • Experience in electrical utility, industrial plant, consulting engineering, or system integrator settings
  • Project engineering experience

Focus Area

  • Automation = software, integration and automation, industrial controls, PLCs, industry protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus), Ethernet systems, protocol analyzers, and industry SCADA practices.
  • Protection = system protection, protective relays and their applications, settings, and testing.
