Accounts Payable Assistant Role

Dutton Automotive is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Head Office Finance team in Richmond. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring all local invoices and payments are processed promptly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process local invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow up on any invoice disputes to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintain high-standard relationships with local vendors and internal departments.
  • Set up new suppliers and ensure accurate sign-off/authority for all payments.
  • Send remittance advice and perform monthly supplier reconciliations.
  • Ensure stock number accuracy for each vehicle to cost freight.
  • Maintain an up-to-date vendor file for transportation companies.
  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end processes by company standards.
  • Assist with ad hoc queries.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the motor vehicle industry will be highly regarded.
  • High level of analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to follow due process and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
