Senior Technical Officer Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to join our organization as a Senior Technical Officer. As a key member of the Modern Manufacturing Workshop, you will oversee day-to-day operations ensuring safe efficient and innovative delivery of bespoke manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and coordinating workshop operations inductions and equipment training.
  • Liaising with researchers academics and industry partners to scope and prioritise jobs.
  • Operating and programming CNC and multi-axis lathes as well as manual equipment.
  • Reviewing and producing CAD technical drawings to support prototyping and research.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS standards SOPs and safe workshop practices.
Requirements:
  • A degree or trade qualification with at least four years subsequent relevant experience in Engineering.
  • Specialist skills and experience in delivering high-quality design and manufacturing across all disciplines in Engineering technical services in higher education or complex organisations within a relevant field.
