
Senior Business Development Specialist

The Senior Business Development Specialist will oversee and manage the preparation of tenders and submission requirements for allocated projects, coordinating the process between prospect identification, proposal submission, and contract award. A priority in this role is to enhance the bid process and increase the probability of winning the contract if deemed viable by successfully managing risk and opportunity, as well as key technical and commercial requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement winning proposal strategies to ensure the highest probability of success
- Review tender documentation to ensure a full and complete understanding of the technical and commercial commitment to which UGL/CIMIC will be obligated
- Conduct risk assessments and management activities to evaluate all commercial, financial, legislative, and resource risks associated with the tender
**Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Commerce, Engineering, Marketing etc.)
- Knowledge of resources sector; ideally Oil & Gas, Petro chemical - Construction & Maintenance within a Tier 1 contractor or similar
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
