We are seeking experienced nurses to join our Transition to Practice program, which focuses on training and development in a supportive team environment. This exciting opportunity allows you to work alongside a clinical nurse educator/preceptor, providing you with the skills and knowledge required to excel in your role.

About the Program

This Transition to Practice program is designed to upskill registered nurses from various sectors to become scope nurses within a specialist unit. As a scope nurse, you will assist medical officers during procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, EBUS/EUS, and cystoscopy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of quality processes and evidence-based practices
  • Deliver high levels of patient service to exceed expectations
  • Plan nursing care in consultation with individuals/groups and healthcare teams
  • Contribute to patient and staff safety by managing risks and reporting hazards/incidents
  • Practice according to established policies and procedures
What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • AHPRA registration with a current practicing certificate
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Demonstration of maintenance of CPD points
  • Clinical competence in area of specialty (if required)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
