Leadership Role in Major Transmission and Distribution Projects
The Senior Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of major transmission and distribution projects, including renewable energy zones, 500kV substations, and overhead transmission lines.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing technical leadership for engineering during the tender phase of projects to ensure successful project delivery
- Fostering a collaborative culture within the engineering team and across the wider organization
- Leading the selection and collaboration with external design partners, building strong working relationships
- Assigning key personnel and conducting peer reviews and technical audits to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Driving engineering's contribution to business development, including building client relationships
- Overseeing staff training and support ongoing professional development to enhance skills and expertise
- Proven experience as an engineering manager on major energy infrastructure projects (HV, substations, transmission lines)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., BSc Engineering) and/or equivalent industry experience
- CPEng or eligibility to obtain this certification
- Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering institution (e.g., Engineers Australia)
