Electrical Line Worker Role:

You will be responsible for constructing, maintaining and repairing transmission and distribution lines to ensure a safe and reliable electricity supply.

As an Electrical Line Worker, you will respond quickly to faults, deliver high-quality work and adapt to evolving industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and rectify faults in a timely manner to minimize disruptions and loss of supply.
  • Complete allocated construction and maintenance work to ensure consistent quality across the network.
  • Maintain and enhance core electrical line skills with changing industry standards and business requirements.
  • Participate in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards and task variables and control measures to ensure safe, reliable and affordable job completion.
  • Uphold good customer relations when working in the field, especially where there is direct contact with the public.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in ESI - Power System Distribution Overhead (essential).
  • Or New Zealand Electricity Supply (Distribution) Minimum Level 4.
  • Valid WA 'HR' Class Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network.
  • HOU and LOU Switching is highly regarded but not essential.
