Strategic Pricing Expert

This pivotal role entails leading end-to-end rate review processes, conducting technical actuarial rate reviews, managing pricing changes, and ensuring the integrity of our pricing structures.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive rate review strategies, including data analysis, modelling, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Evaluate alternative data sources and modelling approaches for pricing.
  • Contribute to the development of new pricing strategies and structures.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and automate the monitoring process.
  • Communicate the expected impact of pricing changes effectively.
  • Publish complex papers on actuarial rate reviews.
  • Mentor junior staff in pricing management.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in general insurance pricing.
  • Actuarial qualification or nearing qualification (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in statistical modelling techniques and software (e.g. EMBLEM, Radar, Python, R, SAS, SQL).
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial studies, or related field (Actuarial qualifications preferred).
