About the Role

Ventia is seeking an experienced SHEQ professional to join our team. This role will support a local government contract, providing building services, furniture & signs maintenance, and parks & roadside maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement SHEQ management plans across projects.
  • Implement processes to ensure effective communication and compliance with SHEQ policies and procedures.
  • Maintain risk assessments, SWMS, and risk registers, and manage records according to Ventia SHEQ requirements.
  • Provide SHEQ advice and support to operations teams and subcontractors to deliver SHEQ excellence.
  • Promote a safety, environment, and quality culture by maintaining visibility and rapport with the workforce.
  • Develop and assist with delivery of safety-related training, including inductions, toolbox talks, and pre-start meetings.
  • Support operational teams to ensure incidents are reported and investigations are complete and accurate.
  • Maintain and deliver project audit schedules.
  • Provide regular reporting on SHEQ performance.

About You

Professionals with experience in safety, environment, or quality roles are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in construction or facilities management is desirable. Tertiary qualifications in Workplace/Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental, or Quality Equivalent are required. Formal training in incident investigation is essential, along with detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulations, and ISO standards.
