Job Role Overview

Occupational Therapist plays a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for functional activities of daily living.
  2. Assess and implement assistive technology solutions for individuals with complex needs.
  3. Provide fine motor and gross motor therapy to improve physical function.
  4. Conduct housing needs assessments, including SIL/SDA or ILO accommodation options.
  5. Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions.
  6. Assess and implement seating and positioning solutions to promote comfort and safety.
  7. Develop and deliver adult therapy programs, including group and individual sessions.
  8. Conduct manual handling assessments and provide training to ensure safe practice.
  9. Perform developmental milestone assessments for early intervention and school-aged children.
  10. Identify and address sensory issues through targeted interventions.
  11. Work with parents, carers, and teachers to develop emotional regulation and behavioural strategies.
