Project HSE Manager

This role requires an experienced professional to oversee the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) components on a large-scale project. The successful candidate will report directly to the site manager and functionally report to the HSE manager.

The HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of all HSE project management systems and processes within the project. This includes developing, implementing, and testing project HSE plans, including emergency response management, traffic management plans, audit balance of plant contractors, environmental management processes, and safe work procedures.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing project HSE management systems, strategies, and programs for risk management.
  • Supporting the identification and development of project WHS improvement strategies together with relevant incident prevention methods and techniques.
  • Ensuring adequate training and development is achieved in safety critical roles within the project.
  • Implementing monitoring systems and leading or participating in organisational review, change management, and incident investigation.
