We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our Service team at our Pump Service Centre.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, adjustments & inspections of Slurry Pumps, Valves and Hydrocyclones in the mining region.

This can include on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, ensuring our operations and workshop repairs can continue efficiently with an increase in work.

We are looking for someone with experience in maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps, who holds a mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years' experience and is able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

The ideal candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and hold a current motor vehicle license. They must also be physically fit and able to travel with short notice.

The role requires ability to work away from home, for extended periods and extended hours, on weekends or as required. Rigging and dogging qualifications are highly desirable.

Requirements
  • Experience with maintenance and/or rebuild/assembly of slurry pumps.
  • Mechanical trade qualification with at least 2 years' experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Rigging and dogging qualifications.
