This is your invitation to rise above the possible.Job posting end date: 08/04/2025IntroductionWe are seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our Service team at our Kalgoorlie Pump Service Centre.You will be responsible for installation, commissioning, adjustments & inspections of Slurry Pumps, Valves and Hydrocyclones in Goldfields Region & greater WA mining region.This can include on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, ensuring our operations and workshop repairs can continue efficiently with our increase in work.In this position, you will report to the Service Manager, Pumps.This new position is located in Kalgoorlie and would suit a local resident.
Domestic (only) relocation assistance may be provided for the right person.Team you belong toYou will join an experienced and dedicated team of Service Technicians who strive to ensure operations and workshop repairs are completed on time and to a high standard.Our team is motivated and keen to succeed.We work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.What you'll doRepairing and refurbishing used pumps as well as assembling new pumps in the Kalgoorlie service facility, in accordance with OEM procedures.Support of Metso Pump Trials in field.Carry out hands on service work such as adjustments, installation, commissioning and operation of pumps on and off customer sites.Internal and external report writing at completion of every field service job.Conduct and/or assist with investigations of customer failures regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivered conditions of products.Contributions to clients with technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failures.Ability to be able to solve practical on the job problems.
