Science Educator

 

We seek a skilled educator to join our teaching staff. As a Science Educator at our independent Catholic school, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning.

Our classical, teacher-led approach emphasizes knowledge-rich instruction across various subjects, including science.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering structured junior secondary science using the Novare Science program and QCE Senior Biology in line with QCAA requirements.

Responsibilities include planning clear, knowledge-rich sequences and assessments, contributing to co-curricular activities and the wider life of the school, and collaborating with colleagues to refine curriculum and share best practice.

Key qualifications include current or eligible Queensland College of Teachers registration, proven experience teaching QCE Senior Biology and junior secondary science, working knowledge of QCAA Endorsement and Confirmation processes, and alignment with a teacher-led, explicit instruction model and knowledge-rich curriculum.

  • Teach QCE Senior Biology in line with QCAA requirements
  • Deliver structured junior secondary science using the Novare Science program
  • Plan clear, knowledge-rich sequences and assessments

Key Skills/Qualifications:
