Job Title:

Territory Sales Manager

About the Role:

You will be joining a dedicated and diverse team offering our local clients a full end-to-end suite of services from agronomy, real estate, finance, rural farm supplies, and livestock & wool advice.

Our sales managers are responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving livestock sales, and identifying new business opportunities within your territory. You will play a critical role for your clients in the purchasing and sales process, from initial client engagement through to successful transactions and providing industry-leading market insights.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining professional relationships and growing a strong portfolio of new and existing clients
  • Identifying and cultivating new livestock sales opportunities
  • Developing and growing relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processors
  • Providing professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business
  • Employing tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers together
  • Maximising promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community events
  • Auctioneering at the weekly Sale
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within the agriculture sector, and an understanding of seasonal requirements
  • Strong understanding of livestock breeds, vet products, and low-stress stock handling, with a passion for driving client relationships and sales
  • Commitment to positively affecting real change for both your clients and your community
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clients
