Joining Elders Roma as a Territory Sales Manager, you will be joining a dedicated and diverse team offering our local clients a full end to end suite of services from Agronomy, Real Estate, Finance, Rural Farm Supplies and Livestock & Wool advice.
Our Territory Sales Managers are responsible for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving livestock sales, and identifying new business opportunities within your territory. You will play a critical role for your clients in the purchasing and sales process, from initial client engagement through to successful transactions and providing industry leading market insights. Working both in-branch and travelling the region in the iconic pink shirt, our Territory Sales Managers assess and prepare livestock for market to obtain maximum value for clients.
Responsibilities
As a key member of the branch, you will enjoy a varied day including:
- Maintaining professional relationships and growing a strong portfolio of new and existing clients
- Identifying and cultivating new livestock sales opportunities
- Developing and growing relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processors
- Providing professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business
- Employing tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers together
- Maximising promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community events
- Auctioneering at the weekly Sale
About You
To succeed at Elders, you have:
- A Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within the agriculture sector, and an understanding of seasonal requirements
- Strong understanding of livestock breeds, vet products and low stress stock handling, with a passion for driving client relationships and sales
- Commitment to positively effecting real change for both your clients and your community
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clients
