Job Role: Assistant Manager

Maintains a positive professional relationship with clients through regular daily contact to discuss areas of concern, report on deficiencies, and obtain new assignments.

  • Organizes and attends frequent meetings with clients, General Managers, and Regional Managers to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Directly oversees budgeted hours and expenses for assigned locations to guarantee fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
  • Submits accurate and timely monthly billing reports to ensure prompt payment and minimize any potential financial discrepancies.

Ensures the delivery of services consistently meets work specifications and required Quality Assurance standards by conducting regular site inspections and reviewing assignments with staff to identify areas for improvement.

  • Responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel and equipment, and guarantees that all necessary maintenance and repairs are performed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all accidents and property damage are reported promptly and thoroughly investigated to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Accountable for all company assets, including keys, communications devices, and ensures they are inventoried and tracked regularly to prevent loss or theft.

  • Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs for on-site equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Processes equipment and supplies orders and maintains adequate inventory levels to ensure smooth operations and efficient service delivery.

Regularly reviews operational efficiencies and assists General Managers in identifying areas for improvement, implementing changes to enhance productivity and performance.

  • Works closely with and trains associates daily, responsible for orientation and training of new personnel to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
  • Maintains accurate attendance records for all personnel and addresses any issues or concerns promptly to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Regularly holds meetings with employees to review performance, attendance, and health and safety issues, and provides constructive feedback and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.

  • Administers corrective disciplinary action when necessary, and works to resolve problems on-site and inform or involve General Managers and Regional Managers as needed.
  • Identifies and resolves issues on-site, and informs or involves General Managers and Regional Managers if additional support is required.

About You:

Previous experience in hospitality is an asset. Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks with minimal supervision is essential.

Experience working in a unionized environment, ability to work with collective agreements and provide guidelines and execution is preferred.

Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing is required.
