Job Description

We are seeking an individual with exceptional organizational skills to join our team as a Logistics Assistant. This casual role involves tracking freight, obtaining delivery information, and coordinating the movement of goods.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the tracking and locating of freight via phone calls, databases, and physically searching the warehouse
  • Obtaining delivery information from drivers, including estimated time of arrival, proof of delivery, and delivery condition
  • Coordinating the movement of freight by booking deliveries, consulting with drivers, receivers, and third parties
  • Carrying out data entry and general administrative duties
Key Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong communication skills, enabling clear and logical information exchange
  • Proficiency in software and ability to quickly learn new systems, including MS Office and in-house applications
  • Physical fitness, with the capacity to lift at least 30kg repeatedly (assessed during pre-employment medical check)
  • Team player, passionate about contributing to a collaborative environment
  • Enjoy investigating and solving problems
  • Flexibility to work overtime occasionally
  • Previous experience in an operational setting, highly valued
