We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Operative to join our logistics team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across various routes.

Job Description

You will operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to transport goods from one location to another, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service. Your duties will include:

  • Transporting goods to various locations while adhering to traffic regulations and road safety standards.
  • Conducting regular vehicle inspections to ensure the HGV is in good working condition.
  • Maintaining accurate records of hours worked and distance travelled.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate HGVs safely and efficiently.
  2. Transport goods to various locations.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  4. Maintain accurate logs of hours worked and distance travelled.
  5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
Requirements
  • A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Multi Combination (MC) driver's license.
  • Previous demonstrated experience driving trucks in a professional capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
