Supply Chain Specialist Role

This position involves receiving and distributing goods, as well as picking, packing, and dispatching orders to internal customers throughout the Eastern Region of Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to established receipting and distribution procedures at all times.
  • Inspect goods upon arrival at the Wendouree Distribution Centre for accuracy and condition.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet movers to unload goods when necessary.
  • Verify consignee details, quantity, and condition of parcels against couriers/carriers running sheets or consignment notes.
  • Ensure deliveries meet specified requirements in terms of quantity, quality, and specification.
  • Accurately process and record orders in the computerized supply system, including filing relevant paperwork/documentation.
  • Segregate direct supply items from inventory items for priority dispatch to the SJG Hospital Ballarat.
  • Deliver received goods to the designated inventory location within the Distribution Centre, unpacking and checking for accuracy before placement.
  • Maintain a rotation of stock to ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO) handling and/or nearest expiry date.
  • Handle and store goods correctly to comply with clinical and infectious control standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need high-level verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and maintain performance under allocated time schedules. Basic mathematical skills are also required for stock quantity, price, and volume verification. A current Light Rigid Heavy Vehicle Driver's License and LHRW (Forklift) certification are necessary qualifications. Proficiency in basic computer skills and physical capability to perform job duties are essential. Above all, a commitment to our Mission and Values is paramount.

  • Casual hourly rate $36.48 to $37.53 (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% Superannuation.
