About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Innovation Leader to join our team at the Queensland Department of Education. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Reporting and Briefing: Manage the preparation of complex reports, submissions, and briefs on behalf of the Executive Director, ensuring alignment with our organization's processes and standards.
  2. Communication and Collaboration: Develop, lead, and maintain key communication channels, including websites, SharePoint, newsletters, and email groups, to facilitate effective liaison and collaboration with stakeholders.
  3. Regional Operations Leadership: Provide leadership and oversight of regional operations activities and priorities, ensuring the effectiveness of directorate policies, standards, and procedures, including Business Continuity Planning, Quarterly Risk Review, Emergency Response Planning, Operational Planning, and Right to Information requests.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain effective liaison, communication, and collaboration processes with Queensland state schools, major partners, and other relevant agencies and stakeholders.
  5. Governance and Compliance: Oversee governance processes that manage the regions' enquiries and complaints in line with our Customer Complaints Management policy and procedure, including reporting and records management.
