Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Educational Team Leader to join our Health, Communities and Education Faculty at TAFE Queensland. As an Educational Team Leader, you will have the opportunity to continue your practice as an educator while growing your leadership experience and capability.

You will be responsible for leading and managing a teaching team or teams, and performing associated administrative duties. This will involve developing and implementing high-quality educational programs, providing coaching and mentoring to staff, and contributing to the development of our faculty's strategic direction.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Team Leader who can demonstrate the following key capabilities:

  • Possess skills and knowledge of national training packages and accredited courses to support competency development and the ability to respond positively to industry and individual needs.
  • Demonstrate capacity for best practice in the management of teaching and learning activities, including the development of industry-relevant, flexible, innovative, technology-enhanced learning options, training products, and solutions.
  • Demonstrate capacity for initiative, self-management, teamwork, and sustainable practice, with the ability to accept, promote, and manage change through the use of well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to self-development with a focus on maintaining skills contemporary to industry and teaching practices, and the use of educational technologies and Learning Management Systems to support learning.
  • Possess sound knowledge of safe, equitable, and anti-discriminatory work practices, and demonstrate ability to be flexible, inclusive, responsive, and deliver quality student experience.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.
  • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided.
  • Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning, and assessment, including competency-based training and assessment.
  • Current Queensland Driver's licence.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:

  • High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
  • Industry currency - experience in relevant work sector (Nursing - minimum 2 years).
