Ecological Specialist Role

As an ecological specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that helps industries and clients meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment.

We offer advisory and technical services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks. Our expertise includes obtaining permits and approvals, decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites, and tackling climate change challenges and resilience.

  • Coordinate and lead field-based ecology survey work, including baseline surveys, monitoring programs, and targeted flora and weed assessments across various bioregions.
  • Lead and manage ecological projects, supporting internal clients with multi-disciplinary tenders and deliverables.
  • Plan, deliver, and analyse ecology surveys independently or collaboratively, performing impact assessments and designing mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
  • Degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or similar discipline.
  • 7-10+ years professional experience in botanical surveys, with a strong focus on ecological consulting, vegetation assessments, or related fieldwork.
  • Excellent field skills and experience conducting surveys in various environments, including mining, remote, and metropolitan areas.
  • Strong technical reporting skills proficiency in GIS desktop and data collection packages (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS and Fieldmaps).
