">Ecological Engagement Officer

The Australian Government Department of Environment, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a skilled Ecological Engagement Officer to partner with them on a dynamic project.

">Job Description

This role involves developing standardised ecological monitoring protocols designed to assist with impact assessments of renewable energy projects. The successful candidate will work closely with diverse stakeholders, including government clients, research and industry experts, consultants, and landholders.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with partners to identify shared objectives and develop engagement plans.
  • Organise and facilitate workshops, forums, committees, and working groups using effective communication skills.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to foster open communication and trust.
">Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in developing and delivering engagement plans in complex environments.
  • Proven experience in understanding consultation and collaboration with government clients to meet deliverables.
  • Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience facilitating scientific workshops, forums, committees, and working groups.
  • Ability to manage timelines for the development of deliverables and engagement plans.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with various parties, including government regulators, research and industry experts, consultants, and landholders.
  • Ability to promote organisational values and commitment to compliance.
