About the Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to join a leading Australian privately owned EPC Construction Company delivering major projects across infrastructure, resources, energy, and renewables. With a strong focus on solar and hydrogen, they are pushing the boundaries with groundbreaking projects currently underway.

As part of the Senior Leadership team and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Pre-Contracts Manager will oversee a team of 6, including Estimators and a Bid Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating, leading, and managing the end-to-end tender/bid process, with a broad spectrum of projects, including infrastructure, resources, and defence, with most work being within the renewables sector – solar and hydrogen.

About You

You will be a seasoned professional with experience working within the construction industry, ideally with some background in renewables such as solar. You will have experience managing a pre-contract or estimating team and be a person with drive who wants to exceed and enjoys managing teams in a high growth, fast-paced environment.

Your experience will encompass:

  • Reviewing and executing bids/tenders and providing submissions
  • Experience managing numerous tenders concurrently
  • Contract negotiation and networking
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Expert Estimation, CostX, and/or ProEst
