About the Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a leading Australian privately owned EPC Construction Company delivering major projects across infrastructure, resources, energy and renewables. They have a strong focus on solar and hydrogen with groundbreaking, first of their kind in Australia, projects currently underway.

As the Pre-Contracts Manager, you will be forming part of the Senior Leadership team and reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

The Pre-Contracts Manager will be responsible for generating, leading and managing the end-to-end tender/bid process. There will be a broad spectrum of projects, including infrastructure, resources and defence with most of the work being within the renewables sector – solar and hydrogen.

About You

You will be a Senior Estimator, Pre-contracts Manager, Commercial Manager or similar, with experience working within the construction industry. Ideally you will have some experience with renewables such as solar, however, this is not essential.

You will have experience managing a pre-contract or estimating team. You are a person with drive that wants to exceed and enjoys managing teams in a high growth, fast paced environment.

Your experience will also encompass:

  • Reviewing and executing bids/tenders and providing submissions
  • Experience managing numerous tenders concurrently
  • Contract negotiation and networking
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Expert Estimation, CostX and/or ProEst
