Job Title: Water and Sewer Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Water and Sewer Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of water and sewage treatment plants, pump stations, reticulation systems, and reuse facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of water treatment processes and experience in operating heavy machinery. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of water and sewerage treatment and pumping stations
  • Monitor reservoir levels, disinfection, and pumping records
  • Conduct water filtration, reticulation, and sewerage treatment plant construction, water testing, maintenance, and repair
  • Conduct inspections/monitoring of water and sewer wells and associated infrastructure

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Operate mobile plant and trucks as required
  • Assist in completion of water meter reading
  • Prepare worksites for safe work operations and locate all utility services prior to excavation

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • School Certificate or Higher School Certificate
  • Completion of an appropriate labour market program or similar short-term work/skills experience
